LensOffers aims to make photography purchases easier to understand. We explain the choices and their practical limits so that readers can decide what suits their own equipment, budget and photography.
Research and evidence
Our current buying guides are based on specification research and manufacturer educational material. We consult primary sources such as manuals, compatibility charts, technical support articles and official guidance, and link to useful sources within each guide.
Manufacturer information establishes stated features and restrictions. It does not prove that a product is the best choice for everyone. Our practical checklists are editorial judgement, and model-specific details should be checked against the latest documentation before purchase.
Research is different from testing
We have not carried out comparative laboratory tests or hands-on product reviews for the current guides. We do not turn specification research into a claim that we have personally tested equipment.
If we publish hands-on work in future, we will identify it as such and explain what equipment was used, what was assessed and any material limits. A borrowed or supplied sample, or a paid relationship connected to the content, will be disclosed.
Commercial relationships
Affiliate commissions do not purchase our recommendations or favourable conclusions. We will identify affiliate advertising and any sponsored placements clearly before readers engage with them. Commercial partners will not be presented as independent test evidence.
Retailer comparisons are planned. When introduced, they will need to explain their coverage, the basis of the comparison and when the information was checked. We do not currently claim to search every retailer, find the lowest price or provide live stock information. Read our affiliate disclosure for more.
Corrections and updates
Photography systems and retailer terms can change. If a material factual error is brought to our attention, we will check the evidence and correct the affected wording. A correction that changes the substance of a guide should be made clear to readers rather than quietly presented as a new finding.
Send corrections to [email protected], including the page and a primary source if available. Our contact page explains what helps us investigate.
